Paul Maassen is General Manager of WWNO 89.9fm New Orleans Public Radio. Paul was previously General Manager at WYSO in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Since arriving in New Orleans in 2008, Maassen has introduced a new news and information format including building an award winning news department from scratch, placing new emphasis on WWNO’s role in the community, prioritizing local news, culture and feature reporting, and encouraging collaborations among New Orleans’ organizations and the region’s public media. Maassen is a graduate of Bucknell University in Pennsylvania.
